Our Counsellors

Pam Michienzi

A registered psychotherapist, Pamela has extensive experience working in the addictions field, with a focus on youth and young adults; as well as working with their families and caretakers through talk-based psychotherapy and art therapy. Pamela is a navigator, advocate, counsellor or mentor, but most of all a warm and kind human being.

Tom Roes

Tom believes that everyone can use some help figuring out how to deal with the challenges that we all face. His warmth, compassion, and empathy work together with his training and life experience as a husband, and father to the biological, adopted and foster children that are part of his family. This creates a place of safety for clients to share the parts of their lives that they are struggling with. As a therapist, Tom aims to walk along with his clients without judgment, helping them to use their strengths to discover new paths forward.

Tom works with children, adolescents, and adults, both individually and as couples or families. He is especially knowledgeable in working with anyone who is connected with adoption (adoptee, birth parents, adoptive parents and siblings). He has completed the Adoption Competency Training from the Adoption Council of Ontario. He also has experience and training in working with people who have experienced hurt and trauma related to religion.

Tom has an Honours Bachelor of Social Work degree from King's University College at Western University in London, Ontario, and completed the Master of Social Work degree at Western in 2021. He is familiar with many of the common models of therapy including CBT, DBT, Solutions Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Tom is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and is a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.

We are committed to ensure barrier-free access to services.
