Applications are now open for the Tanner Steffler Foundation Youth Voice Bursary.
Listening to and empowering youth voice is a cornerstone of our foundation. Powered by Meridian Credit Union, the Youth Voice Bursary is an annual award of $500, awarded to two youth residing within Huron or Perth county who have shown a dedication to spreading awareness surrounding mental health and addiction in our community.
What is the Youth Voice Bursary?
Who can apply?
Eligible applicants will be:
Residing with Huron or Perth County at the time of their application.
Be enrolled in secondary school within Huron or Perth County at the time of their application (Enrolment in post-secondary is not a requirement).
Must show, through their own advocacy, a passion towards bettering mental health & addiction services, stigma and/or culture in our community.
When are recipients announced?
Recipients will be announced in early May, 2025.

Minimum 500 words on the importance mental health has played in their life, personal experience, and/of why advocating for mental health and addiction education and awareness is important to them.
Minimum 200 words on what you have done in your personal, school, work life or other to advocate for change, awareness & more for mental health and addiction services and supports in our community.
Any files that help to support their application. These may include pictures, videos, flyers, art and more.
